FAQs
Q: Is there a dress code?
A: There is no defined dress code.
Formal / semi-formal optional.
The bridal party will be wearing black tie and a blend of colours, but guests are invited to wear whatever they love.
A gentle reminder, however, that there will be guest portrait opportunities in Mitzi's Lounge, so wear something you wouldn't mind having framed and hanging in your living room for years to come!

Q: Are children invited?
A: Children are warmly invited to the church ceremony and wedding meal. Some parents are still choosing to attend child-free!
As the evening celebrations progress, we kindly ask that children be settled with sitters in their rooms before the speeches or main party begin (your chance to skip the speeches if you’re inclined!), as the evening reception will be adults-only from approximately 8.30-9pm.

Q: Do you have a gift registry?
We've had a number of people ask whether we've created a gift registry, which we haven't.
Many of our family and friends are travelling to celebrate with us, and we know that being there is already a significant commitment. Your presence is more than enough, and we can't wait to celebrate together.
For those who have kindly asked and would still like to give a gift, we would be very grateful for a contribution towards our honeymoon or future home.

Q: Is transport available from the Cathedral to Ballyseede? What about getting home afterwards?
A: We currently have a 29-seater bus booked from the Cathedral to Ballyseede, with limited spaces remaining. Please contact Susie if you have not already been included and intend to use the service.
Taxis will also be organised from Ballyseede to Killarney and surrounding areas in the small hours. Exact timings will be confirmed closer to the day.

Q: Is parking available at the cathedral?
A: There is plenty of parking at the cathedral.
A Few Friendly Reminders
📵 Unplugged Ceremony
We would love for everyone to be fully present during the ceremony. Please keep phones, cameras and tablets tucked away until the photographer gives the signal outside the church. We promise to share plenty of professional photographs afterwards.
☔ Kerry Weather
As the locals say, Kerry can experience four seasons in one day. While we are hoping for sunshine, we recommend bringing an umbrella and a light layer or cover-up just in case.
⛪ Please Arrive Early
The ceremony will begin on time, so please allow plenty of time for parking, finding your seat and saying hello before proceedings begin.
🚗 Kerry Time vs Real Time
Please note that Google Maps and Kerry in July occasionally have differing opinions on journey times.
Killarney can be extremely busy during the summer months, so we recommend allowing extra time for traffic, tourists, cyclists, tractors, jaunting cars and other unexpected adventures.
The ceremony will begin on time, so please travel with a little extra breathing room.
🚌 Transport
If you have reserved a place on the Cathedral-to-Ballyseede bus, please ensure you are at the designated pick-up point in good time.
🕰️ Please check back on our Schedule & Itinerary page closer to the day. Final timings will be confirmed shortly, and we'd hate for anyone to miss a champagne or canapé. 🥂 Of course, if any major changes occur, we will update guests via Whatsapp/calls directly.
🚨 Finally...
If Killarney traffic defeats you, we will not be offended.
If your train, plane, automobile, childcare arrangements, sat-nav or the laws of physics mean that you miss the Cathedral or cocktail hour, we will not be offended.
Getting to Kerry can be an adventure in itself. We're simply delighted that you're making the journey to celebrate with us, and we'll be thrilled to see you whenever you arrive - even if it means skipping Killarney and coming straight to Ballyseede.
